It’s not that I am so anti-salt. Salt can have its place. I am, however, anti-salt in seasonings because the more seasoning you add, the more salt you are adding. Usually, salt is listed as the first ingredient often followed by sugar because the sugar will help it not taste so salty. You lose control over the amount of sodium is in the dish. You just keep shaking it on or in. You have no clue. Sodium can add up quickly, especially with other canned or frozen ingredients that are not labeled with no salt added. Try keeping your ingredients fresh, use salt-free seasonings and use a salt substitute like our Table Tasty. This really makes a difference when lowering sodium and adding flavor.
